Have a story that could help other children? Send it to us. Every submission is read by a person before anything is published.

Before you write

  • No real children. Please don’t include the name, school, town or any identifying detail of a real child — including your own. Change them.
  • Teaching, not frightening. The stories that work leave a child feeling capable. They end with the child telling a trusted adult, and being believed.
  • It never has to be the child’s fault. That one rule is not negotiable in anything we publish.
  • Short is good. Most of our books are four pages read aloud — roughly 300 to 800 words.

This form is for stories. If you need help with a situation involving a real child, please use our reporting page instead.

Your story

An illustration, or a photograph of the pages if you have drawn it already. Please don’t send a photograph of a real child.

We use your details only to reply about this submission. See our privacy policy and terms of use.
